We have these. They are somewhere. Bad chat pushes people away. Weed out the bad eggs.
Chat Moderators are representative members of the dakiny community whom make themselves available to assist in making clan chat a good and welcoming experience for clan members to actively engage with each other.
Abrasive members in clan chat can make the game a poor experience for everyone, reduce clan activity, and drive players away. Chat Moderators are here to prevent this from happening and help enforce clan rules for an enjoyable and healthy game experience for everyone.
**Expectations for Chat Moderators**
Responsibilities: Moderate our clan chat to maintain a positive and respectful environment. De-escalate and address any issues or conflicts according to our clan rules. Report such issues to the clan council.
*Resolve issues*
Chat Moderators are here to ensure that clan rules are followed in chat and no one is bullied or harrassed in clan chat. Chat Moderators will be expected to maintain the positive and respectful environment of clan chat. They are responsible for de-escalating and addressing any issues or conflicts which arrive according to the clan rules.
If in doubt as to how to resolve a matter or whether to involve yourself, feel free to ask council.
After an issue is resolved, please send screenshots to council so that proper records may be made and council is made aware of issues within the clan so they can be further addressed if need be.
Chat Moderators should feel free to review and reference <#935776613096915005> as needed.
*Answer the door*
When a new clan member joins as a guest (usually from a social media post) they won't make a grand entrance. Instead, it's up to the Chat Moderators (and Clan Recruiters) to "lay down the red carpet" and make them feel warm and welcomed. Once you confirm who sent them our way, try to make a quick effort to officially welcome them to the clan chat.

*Don't leave people hanging*
Nobody likes asking a question or saying Hello and getting completely ignored by the clan. It's common for people to not reply while bossing, afk, or on another tab, we can't all respond to every message every time. And often we may not have the answer to the question being asked.
*Regardless, it's critical that the person asking the question gets some sort of response.* Even if it's just, "Sorry, I don't know."Chat Moderators maintain a priority to make sure everyone seeking engagement in clan chat receives at least some responsiveness.
*Add depth*
It's great to get into deep conversation in this mostly anonymous space. Get into Real Talk by asking questions such as, "What was your thought process like?" or "Why did you decide to do that?" Try to understand one another as if you were reaching through your screen to touch the other person's soul.
